The Ministry of Industrialization, Business, Trade & Tourism is responsible for promoting industrial development, business growth, trade expansion and sustainable tourism development. The Ministry plays a central role in creating an enabling environment for businesses, industries, investors, traders, entrepreneurs and tourism operators to contribute effectively to national economic development.

Through the formulation and implementation of policies, strategies, programmes and regulatory frameworks, the Ministry promotes industrialization, manufacturing and value addition, private-sector development, entrepreneurship, domestic and international trade, investment opportunities and the development of a competitive tourism sector.

The Ministry works closely with Government institutions, the private sector, development partners, investors, business associations and local communities to improve the business environment, expand access to domestic, regional and international markets, attract investment and create opportunities for employment and sustainable economic growth.
